All the students of our school XYZ have organized an event on the occasion of this teacher’s day which is also known as the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The date of 5th September, 2023 was when our reputed ABC public school celebrated Teachers Day with great pomp on the occasion of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday and National Teachers Day. The school principal, vice principal, all teachers and all students participated in this celebration. The Mayor of our district was also present in this program as the chief guest. The program started at around 10 a.m. with the singing of the morning prayer in our school auditorium. Shreya Kumari was a class 10 student on the auditorium stage as the coordinator and commentator and precisely coordinated all the functions of the Teacher’s Day celebration. After the prayer, the children of classes 4 and 5 performed a comedy-drama which highlighted the relationship between students and teachers in an entertaining manner. After that, a student of class 9 gave a speech and in that speech, he told how important teachers are in the lives of every student worldwide. Similarly, one by one our Principal and our Chief Guest also gave speeches and highlighted the role of teachers in society. On the occasion of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Nation Teachers’ Day, we celebrated Teacher’s Day at our Indira Gandhi School on 5th September. All the functions of celebration took place on the stage of our school. The stage was beautifully decorated and many chairs were placed on the ground in front of the stage so that the chief guest, principal, teachers or students could all sit. Our MLA also came as a special guest in our celebration. The program started at around 9:30 a.m. with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, principal, vice-principal and some teachers. First of all, the children of the younger class sang some poems on Teacher’s Day and that too while dancing. Then a student of class 10 gave a wonderful speech about what Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan had done for our country, why he was popular among all the students and much more. On the occasion of National Teacher’s Day on 5th September, Teacher’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in BIT Sindri along with all the students and teachers.
