Fitter in ITI is a 2-year program in which you are taught about different techniques of fittings in various machines. In this course, you will learn to use different types of tools which are used in the fitting and maintenance of machinery.

ITI Fitter Course Duration
The duration of ITI Fitter is 2 years and the period of 2 years is further divided into 4 semesters. Each semester contains 6 months of duration i.e. complete duration of the course is 24 months. In the Fitter ITI course, you will be taught mainly 5 subjects and each subject will be allotted some hours of time so that they can finish the syllabus on time. ITI Fitter Admission Procedure
The admission procedure for the ITI fitter course all depends on the college in which you take admission. Some government ITI colleges take admission on the basis of merit lists whereas some ITI colleges take admission by conducting an entrance examination.
So you should check that admission in your interested government ITI college is done on the basis of a merit list or on the basis of the result of the entrance exam. However, in private ITI colleges, it is generally seen that direct admission is done without giving any entrance exam.
In general, the registration process for admission starts in the month of May and finishes in the month of July every year. However, you much check the official website of your state education board for a clear date of admission.
